Uncle Sam: Man of the Century
Uncle Sam tips his hat in this illustration created for the cover of the US News & World Report millennium issue inspired by James Montgomery Flagg’s classic “I Want You” poster. Image was intentionally flopped and original signature was done backwards. Tight deadline and slow decisions by editors made this necessary. This image has been used on a campaign for the Wounded Warrior Project by the Springfield Restaurant Group and for a Democratic political campaign in Michigan as well as for a number of other worthy causes.
